BIS INFORMATION: Seminar on ,'Standardization and its role -As a key factor for the competitive and sustainable development of Indian Rubber Industries'-12/12/2019 in Mumbai

BIS in collaboration with IRMRA Mumbai is conducting a National seminar on ‘Standardization and its role –As a key factor for the competitive and sustainable development of Indian Rubber Industries’ on 12/12/2019 in Mumbai. Purpose of this seminar is to sensitize rubber industries towards standardization and latest developments in rubber sector.
Topic : ‘Standardization and its role –As a key factor for the competitive and sustainable development of Indian Rubber Industries’
Date : 12th December, 2019
Venue : Indian Rubber Manufacturing Research Organization, Mumbai.
Seminar will cover various important topics like National and International standardization activities, Technical barrios to trade, sustainable and ecofriendly NR, Importance of standards in Business promotion, Standards to address environmental issues etc .

Standardization activities related to Rubber and Rubber Products in India are being dealt by PCD13 ‘Rubber montre hublot and Rubber Products sectional committee’ and PCD29 ‘Method of test for Rubber and Rubber Products sectional committee’ of BIS. PCD13 has published 123 standards and PCD29 has published 136 Indian standards. Sub: Non tariff measures (SPS and TBT) issue being faced by our exporters to be raised in the forthcoming WTO SPS/TBT committee meetings
BIS has received a communication from Ministry of Commerce vide which it has been intimated that the upcoming WTO TBT/SPS Committee Meetings are scheduled to be held in June/July 2019. These meetings give an opportunity to the member countries to raise issues which adversely affect trade bilaterally or multilaterally with regard to the non tariff measures relating to SPS/TBT measures adopted by any other WTO member country .
In this regard,replika órák BIS has been requested provide issues (if any) which is adversely impacting our exports replicas de relojes cartier and therefore could be raised as Specific Trade Concerns (STCs) during the forthcoming meetings of SPS and TBT Committee along with a small background note to the issue.
In view of above you are requested to kindly send us the concerns (if any) so that the same could be raised as Specific Trade Concerns (STCs) during the forthcoming meetings of SPS and TBT Committee for forwarding the same to Ministry of Commerce.
